The Zippo Lighter has to be THE most easily lighter on the market. However there are so many copies and replicas on the market that you often mistake other lighters for Zippo Lighters. So popular is the Zippo that there are numerous sites dedicated to the lighter and even competitions for tricks that can be done with a Zippo. It would seem that the world has gone Zippo mad!

Zippo lighters are well known to be reliable metal lighters and ONLY produced by the Zippo Manufacturing Company but available to buy from many retailers (see below). The first Zippo was produced in 1933 but was actually based upon an earlier design from Austria and gained it's name from the sond generated when it is opened. The earlier Zippos are some of the most collectable but price various both on age and also the materials used in manufacture. Many early Zippo lighters were hand painted whereas now thay are all done by machine but the build design has always remained the same.
