A puppy, kitten or other young animal does not remain so for long. In the past it was common for sailors to bring back exotic animals as pets, most common was the parrot but many brought back small or infant monkeys (now illegal). It would have seemed a great idea at the time but a fully grown chimp is far more powerful than a fully grown human male. As infant pets grow their appeal changes and they can soon become a nuisance or even a serious threat to personal safety! Please remember this when choosing a family pet.
